An Evangelion Energy Drink

Hi, I'd like to show only one picture this time. I was in AKB last Saturday, and found this drink sold at a pharmacy called "Matsumotokiyoshi". Do you know the anime Evangelion? Its original anime series was broadcast in the 90s, but its movie sequels started to be released in '07. 

Anyways, this is a kind of drink that would energize you. The most popular drink of this kind is "Ripobitan D", and this Evangelion drink tasted just like it. The yellow Japanese on the label would mean in English "The Evangelion drink that maximizes your activity". And I bet some of you are familiar with this girl "Aska". As far as I remember she is half-German, right? 

Lotteria

It has one outlet in the center of my city.

When I came here it was about 10:30 am, so this shop was still displaying its morning menu.

Moe poster everywhere: Lotteria was pitching an Evangelion desk calender. You know, the second Evangelion movie was released this year.

There was a smoking section in this outlet which was beyond that large glass wall.

Lotteria's current flagship burger called "Zetsumyou" hamburger. Its meaning would be "superb"

It had enough lettuce and the patty tasted like smoked beef.


There are not so many "Japanese" hamburger shops. The one that has the largest number of outlets in Japan is of course Mcdonald's and I often visit it for lunch. And there's Wendy's, Burger King in my country and the latter is very popular among burger aficionados.

And when it comes to taste, Mcdonald's burgers appeal to most people. But this Lotteria has invented foods that cater to our taste such as a rice ball with curry taste and German croquette. The hamburgers the Japanese burger shops sold were once a bit more expensive than foreign brands' but nowadays the prices of the Japanese burgers are lowered enough to compete against them.

This Lotteria was established in '72 in Tokyo. "Lotteria" is a coined word that consists of Lotte and cafeteria. Lotte is the company that owns this hamburger shop and a baseball team called Chiba Lotte Marines, and it also produces goodies such as candies, chewing gum.
